inspired by this great building and its history, I tried to keep its memory through wood burning/pyrography art I was in a trip to Istanbul in January and i was astonished by this monument a turkish icon that can take your mind i used color pencils to add life to the image laying beside the bosphorus and surrounded by old architecture looking at this mosque can take you back in time to the age of ottoman empire please tell me your comments

An important step for any pyrography creation process is the copying of the pattern to the wood i use the simple carbon / graphite copying technique but how about other techniques? in this video the pyrographer uses a very easy technique to transfer his pattern from paper to wood simply by ironing the paper with its face down to the wood the good thing about it that the full details are copied which will make the burning step more and more easy yet some pyrographers may find it less appealing since they need more room for their talent to be expressed and added to the original patter however it so nice and easy especially for beginners enjoy it

In this video you can find a nice pattern for a flower copied to a wooden piece using Pyrography / wood Burning technique. Yet how can colour be added to this image to give it life? Simply you can use colour pencils. For adding a more artistic touch I use the Faber-Castell watercolour pencils. It's like any other colour pencils yet after using it , simply add a drop of water with the brush to the coloured Area to have the water colour effect without the effort to be made in using the usual watercolours. If you think Pyrography is difficult   Sorry , but you are wrong This piece was created using pyrography technique. This is the first piece made by my wife using this technique The patterns can be found on any images store Just copy it on wood and trace it by your burner So , why not to try?! It's fun!!
