How to shade simply using Pyrography / wood burning

Image
Shading is what gives more life to any drawing I was always looking for an easy way of shading my drawings on wood I believe that this technique is the easiest and the fastest . Simply by applying parallel lines close to each others The intinesty of the shades increase by intersecting one group of parallel lines with another I use a cheap wood burner which is in capable of shading large areas yet this techniques is very suitable for My burner and give a great finish

An awesome collection of woodburning collection

This video shows 8 woodburning / pyrography projects The animals specially the predators are the subjects of all the pieces The drawings is so live and appealing The nature of the wild animals make it more vivid and mysterious. I really was taken by the mix of painting and pyrography in the wolf piece, the mix between wood carving and pyrography in the second wolf piece. The touches are very accurate. The pictures were not copied to wood using carbon or graphite which make it more difficult for the pyrographer. By the end I should refer to the artists channel that I have subscribed to it to see future piece. http://www.youtube.com/user/erikbrushEnjoy it :)
